5v5 Games with a qualified coach official leading the session. Expect a tournament environment. We encourage teams to be made of 5 players to maximise playing time. The sessions will be limnited to 20 participants to ensure players get enought playing time. Where a clear discrepancy in skill level is observed. We reserve the right to modify teams to make the experience more enjoyable.

At the Open Run we are all about offering the opportunity to play basketball to the largest number of people possible. As a result our sessions are influenced by our participant's goals and open for beginners. At an Open Run we will promote RESPECT, encourage ROLE MODELS and offer the chance to LEARN in order to always improve as individual participants, coaches and to improve the quality of the events. Please make sure to read our code of conduct which is relevant for players and parents.

We have experienced, DBS-checked and qualified coaches available to organise and deliver games. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch the games.

Participants will be required to be BE affiliated from their second Community Run onward. If you are already affiliated via your home club. You can affiliate with the "Community Basketball Initiative" through the Basketball England portal at no extra cost. If you haven't affiliated already, please do so as soon as possible. Make sure to come ready to play basketball. You can bring long trousers or knee support as we are playing outdoors during the summer programme.  There are no changing rooms or water readily available so do not forget to bring a drink as well as suncream.
