WHAT IS AN OPEN RUN?

Whether you play in a club or not, open runs allow players to join in and play officiated 5v5 games. Our qualified and experienced managers and coaches will organise the teams and games. You can join is as a team or an individual but you need to register in advance to allow us to make up teams and organise fixtures. We value the quality of experience and reserve the right, on occasion, to adjust teams if games are clearly uneven, especially in the younger age categories. Please read our Code of Conduct which highlights the importance of participating respectfully. To join us just register online, get added to your age category WhatsApp group and let us know when you are coming. The schedule is updated on this page and cost is £8 pp paid via the registration form or £6.50 per session when you book per block.

Age group categories

-School Years 5-6

-School Years 7-9

-School Years 10-12 - ADULTS*

*Due to low numbers the School Years 10-12 category has now been opened to ADULTS. All players under the age of 18 are required to complete the waiver available here prior to attending. Our code of conduct will be regularly reminded to guarantee the safeguard of any under 18 players and a safeguarding officer + Level 2 qualified coach will be at the sessions at all times.

If you are a club or a group of 5 or more kids and would like to enter as a team please register in advance below or email us at info@communitybasketball.org.

*Remember the Community Basketball Initiative Open Run and Tournaments are designed to create a positive basketball community environment for all ages and offer a chance for people of all abilities to play basketball. Please read our Code of Conduct. All participants require Basketball England affiliation to participate. If you are not currently affiliated, email us for information.
